Virgil R. Scott (88) of Maryville, TN passed away peacefully in his home on Thursday August 6, 2026.
He was born on June 9, 1938 in Ashland, KY. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Mary (Crye) Scott, 2 sons Mike Scott (Becky) and Rob Scott (Martha); 2 step children, Randy Haynes and Sharon Niceley (Jim) all from Ohio; One sister, Sue Turner (Guilford) of West Virginia; two brothers, Curt Scott (Kathy) and Mac Scott (Cindy) from Ohio; two grandchildren, Michael Scott and Jacob Scott; one step grandchild, Sarah Donahue all from Ohio; seven great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, McClelland and Ruby Scott; one brother, Arnold Scott.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday August 22, 2026 at 2:00 PM. Visitation will start at 1:00 PM at Oakland Baptist Church 3501 Old Niles Ferry Rd. Maryville, TN 37801.
