Shirley Ann Cross of Maryville, TN, departed this life at her home peacefully Monday May 26, 2025, at the age of 72. She was born February 6,1953 to the late Raymond and Beulah Mae Asbury. She was a graduate of Everette High School Class of 1971 and a Bulldog Runner. Shirley was a loyal employee ofPizza Hut for over 10+ years and Blount Memorial Hospital Deli Dept. for over 20 years. She was very passionate about flowers and gardening. She also loved specifically sunflowers, butterflies, hummingbirds, outdoors, traveling, andMaryville Rebels sports. Shirley was full of laughter and life. Shirley adored her family and friends, loved being fashionable, and her Joyful spirit will be greatly missed.
Shirley is proceeded in death by her parents Raymond and Beulah Mae Asbury, sister Mary Brabson, brothers Donnell Asbury, Larry Asbury Sr., Nathaniel Asbury and Clark James, nephew Marshawn Asbury, and great nephews Deangelo (DJ) Kellogg and Nathanael Demetrius Browning.
Shirley will be remembered and cherished forever by her Devoted family: Children Latisha Le’nett Cross and Roderick Shannon Cross; Dedicated Life partner and Caregiver Larry Williams; Faithful and Loving Sisters Lillian Hudson, Juanita Asbury, Donna Denise Asbury, and Kay Asbury; Brother-in-law Chester Brabson; Precious and Devoted grandchildren Lamisha, Marrisia, Tanisha, Karrisia Isom and Roderick Cross Jr.; Beloved Great-Grandchildren Rylon Gann, Tavin and TrelynneGarner; Cherished and Devoted Nieces Yolanda aka Chocolate(Bryan) Bettencourt, Danitri (Noots) Asbury; Pam (Michael) Robinson, Carol, Danita, Morecca, and Nakia, Nephews Larry(Jean) Asbury Jr, Rodney, Kevin (Eve) Hudson, Glenn (Tanya)Hudson, Alan (Bridgett) Asbury, Sean(Staci) Asbury, Maurice, and Demetrius; Treasured great nephews Richeon (RJ) Belle Jr.aka Her Tinky, Daunte and Bryson; Honorary Son Thomas Hollowell; God-daughter Kierra Watts; and a host of Great-Nephews, Great-Nieces, Cousins, and Friends. My momma will be remembered as the Best Mom in the world to her children and Priceless Nana to her grandchildren. Her stylish ways, her beautiful smile, her Loving heart, and being a wonderful partner to Larry who loved her very much are just a few of the memories we will hold in our thoughts always. She will always be in our hearts, we will miss her so much and we will see her again.
