Sandra Black

Sandra Geneva Black, 74, went to be with our Heavenly Father on Tuesday, December 27, 2023 at Blount Memorial Hospital. She was a faithful member of the St. John Baptist Church of Alcoa, TN & also a proud 1968 graduate of Charles M. Hall High School.

She retired from Maryville Housing Authority after serving her community for many decades. She loved quilting, sewing, & sharing old family stories. She was known to many as Saun, Sauny, Aunt Saun, & godsons affectionately called her Wammie, she was deeply loved by many. Her parents, Leroy and Beulah Black, Sister Lucille Prater, and Brother James Black precede her in death. Survivors are: daughter, Stacy Jordan; brother, Wayman “Kenny” (Lola) Black; Sister-in-law Beverly Black and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, three godsons (Lynn, Wrenzo & Vic) and other relatives. Special friends; Theresa Ivey and Linda Washington.

Receiving of friends will be Saturday January 6, 2024, 1:00pm at St. John Missionary Baptist Church, Alcoa with Memorial to follow at 2:00pm with Pastor Terry Lynn Jordan officiating. Final arrangements entrusted to Foothills Funeral Home. www.foothillsfh.com
