Richard Westfield

Richard Allen Westfield, age 71, was born on March 19, 1955 in Cleveland, TN to James Paul Sr. and Dorothy Juanita Westfield.

Richard, also known by his nickname “Crook” loved working on cars in Lonsdale, Mechanicsville, and in all the surrounding communities. He loved to cook fish and help his family and friends when asked. He loved his family and children and never told anyone “No”.

Richard peacefully transitioned into the presence of the Lord on August 16, 2026 at Parkwest Medical Center. He was preceded in death by his parents James Paul and Dorothy Junita Westfield. Brothers; James Paul Jr., Milton Thomas, Charles David, Shawn Lebron, and Calvin Leon Westfield. Sister Sarah Ann Westfield.

He leaves to mourn his passing, sons; Richard Westfield, Marcus and Allen Freeman. Daughter Kisha Freeman. Grandchildren; Richard Jerome Jr., Silas and Serenity Westfield, Dakamion, Davion, Marquese and Marcus Freeman, Dominic Hicks, Trayvon Washington, Leandi, A.J. and Dashia Freeman. Sisters; devoted sister, caregiver and friend Annetta Dickey, Junetta Westfield, and Belinda McNeal. Brothers; Phillip Westfield Sr. (Squirrel) and Arnold Westfield. Uncles; Nathan (Brenda), Lyod (Freda), Anderson (Jackie), and Luther Westfield. Sisters-in-law; Jean, Emma, and Mildred Westfield. A host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends to include Charles Turner Sr., and Robert Dixon.

Family will receive friends on Monday August 24, 2026 from 1:00 – 1:30 PM at Open Door Church, 2806 Sherman St. Knoxville, TN, funeral service to follow. Interment will be at Mt. Olive Cemetery, Knoxville, following the service. Flowers can be delivered at the church on Monday by Noon. Final arrangements entrusted to Foothills Funeral Home.
