June Ernestine Boatwright

June Ernestine Boatwright, 95, of Louisville, TN passed away peacefully on May 7, 2025 after a lengthy illness. June was born and raised in Greenback, TN.

June was predeceased by parents, James Hugh and Bessie Thompson, brothers Leon Taylor, James Sylvester Thompson and Walter Henley Thompson and husband, Andrew Jackson “Blue” Boatwright. She leaves to cherish her memory: daughter, Andrea Michelle Boatwright of Louisville, TN, stepdaughter Yvonne Pennington, Somerset, KY; and step- granddaughter, Betsy Pennington, Lexington, KY. A host of many nieces, great nieces, great great nieces, nephews, great nephews, great great nephews, family and friends too numerous to list. She will be dearly missed and always remembered.

She was a homemaker, a fantastic cook/baker, and a gardener.

The family would like to thank the staff of Fort Sanders Regional, especially the 5th floor, 8th floor and 9th floor nurses. As well as Covenant Home Health and Hospice for their dedication and support to the family during her illness.

A memorial service will be held in her honor on Saturday, June 14, 2025 with receiving of friends from 12:30 pm to 2 pm with funeral service immediately following. Officiated by Rev Churchill Moore, Sr.
