Joshua Mecal Lalice Scaife Jr. was a young man whose presence was quietly powerful and deeply felt by all who knew him. With a kind heart, calm spirit, and unwavering authenticity, Joshua carried himself with both confidence and humility. He possessed a natural ability to connect with others, offering loyalty, protection, and genuine love to his family and friends.
Family meant everything to Joshua. He took great pride in being present and dependable for those he loved. To many, he was more than a son, brother, nephew, cousin, or friend—he was a protector, a supporter, and a steady source of strength. His individuality shone through in the way he lived, the way he dressed, and the way he remained true to himself. Joshua left lasting impressions through his warm smile, distinctive style, and quiet yet meaningful presence.
Born on October 18, 2004, Joshua entered the world with a spirit that would go on to touch countless lives. Joshua is lovingly remembered by his mother, Rosie Shufford; his father, Joshua Scaife Sr.; his pops, Andre Shufford; and his madre, Nicole Drew. He also leaves to cherish his memory his brothers, Kentrell Davis of Knoxville and Andre Shufford Jr. of Detroit; his sister, Aniyah Glass of Detroit; and his cherished nephew, Kyro Davis of Maryville. From an early age, he demonstrated resilience and strength beyond his years. Though his time on earth was brief, his life was filled with purpose, love, and an impact that will never be forgotten.
On December 14, 2025, Joshua gained his wings as God called him to his next mission and divine purpose. While his passing leaves a profound emptiness, his legacy continues to live on in the hearts of all who loved him. He will forever be remembered as a young king whose life mattered deeply and whose spirit will remain a guiding presence as their forever angel.
