Jimmy Glenn Ferguson

Jimmy Glenn (Peanut) Ferguson, surrounded by his loving wife and son, passed away peacefully on November 1, 2026 at the age of 71.

He was preceded in death by his parents; Tommy Ferguson and Martha Hudson, brothers; Melvin Long, Ronald Ferguson and Terry Ferguson, daughter, Amanda Gonzalez.

He received Christ at an early age at Rest Haven Baptist Church. His later years he joined Divine Purpose Worship Center where he was an active member on the Usher Board. He also attended Bethel Missionary Baptist Church under the watch and care of Rev. Benjamin Lewis Jr.

Jimmy is survived by his loving and devoted wife Gaynell, daughter Angie Ferguson of Syracuse, New York, son Curtis (Lisa) Turner of Panama City, Florida, son Shannon (Kisha) Zachery of Alcoa, Tennessee, daughter Jimeesha (Phillip) Starks of Alcoa, Tennessee. 21 grandchildren, 17 great grands, 3 aunts; Runell Prater, Joyce Adams, 1 uncle James Webb of Knoxville and Alcoa, Tennessee, 3 sisters in law; Shirley Scott Gaye of Austin,Texas, Linda Provost of Houston, Texas, Rosemary Hall of Alcoa, Tennessee. 3 brothers in law, Johnny Gaye of Austin, Texas, Daniel Provost of Houston, Texas and Jerry Hall of Alcoa, Tennessee. A host of nieces and cousins, many beloved friends (too many to name).

The family will receive friends on Saturday November 7, 2026 from 12:30 - 1:00 PM at Rest Haven Missionary Baptist Church with funeral service to follow. The interment will follow the funeral service at Sherwood Gardens. The body may be viewed Friday from 12:00 - 6:00 PM at Foothills Funeral Home.
