Janie Mae Davis

Janie Mae Davis age 77, passed away on September 14, 2021, at home. She was born April 17, 1944, in
Murphy, North Carolina. She attended Rest Haven Baptist Church of Alcoa, TN. She retired from Levi
Straus & Company.
She is preceded in death by her father, Hardin Kincaid; mother, Mildred Wilker; sisters; Julia (Buck)
Buchanan, Fannie M. Moore, Bessie Kincaid.
She leaves to mourn her passing, Donna (Donavan) McClendon-Cain, Nina (Shannon) Salter, Malik
Wimbley (son), brothers, Robert Smith of Indiana, Alice (Robert Lee) McCrae of Indiana, Madge Earls of
TN, Fred Kincaid Sr. of TN.
She leaves 8 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, to include best
friend Peggy Buchanan, Gena Carr, devoted ex-son in law Christopher McClendon, Kayla Goolsby.
Family will receive friends from 2 pm – 3 pm with funeral service to follow on Monday September 20,
2021, at Rest Haven Baptist Church. Interment to follow service at Wilders Cemetery, Maryville. Rev.
