Gary Williams

Gary Bentley Williams was born on July 23, 1952 Charles and Joyce Williams. He went to be with the Lord peacefully surrounded by loved ones, on November 17, 2025. He was married to Lucinda Williams for 46 years, and was very devoted to his marriage and family. In spite of his illness, he was a faithful member of Mt. Pleasant AME Zion Church and dedicated many years of service to Great Light Lodge #300, where he proudly attained the 33rd Degree. Through it all, he still strived to be the best husband, brother, dad, and papa. He should be remembered for making everyone laugh, even on his hardest days. His humor, his warmth, and the joy he shared so naturally will stay with us forever.

He was preceded in death by his parents Charles and Joyce Williams and siblings Tony Williams and Rita Cambridge. He is survived by his loving wife Lucinda Williams; sons Nakia(Denicia) Williams, Joshua, Gary, and James Williams, Marty (Sandy) Mynatt, Darryl Moultrie; daughters Leticia (Larry) Alexander, and Tara (Daniel) Nelson; brother Robert (Tammy) Williams and sister Glenda (Michael) Andrews; mother-in-law Dorothy Mynatt; aunt Nell (Terry) Giles and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends who will cherish his memory forever.

Funeral service will be Tuesday November 25, 2025 at noon at Mt. Pleasant AME Zion Church, Rockford. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment to follow service at New Gray Cemetery, Knoxville.
