Evelyn Williams, 88, of Three Mile, TN entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, July 21, in her hometown of Alcoa, TN. She was preceded in death by and was a loving wife to Blount County commissioner, the late Richard Williams Jr.; her parents Kermit Robinson and Addie B. Bryant. Her siblings Ted (Mary), Kenneth, Thomas, Lawrence, Victoria (Sydney) and beloved great grandson Kaelin Griffin. Forever carried in the hearts of family: cherished her daughter Viven Love (Cameron), devoted, loving sister Odessa Cowan (Joe), granddaughters: Denetrah Simpson, Kaleisha Jackson Garcia (Andres), grandson: Kris Jackson (Deidra), Great grandchildren: Ana Jackson, D’Avion Jackson, Darian Mattress, L’Nyah Mattress, Aiyana Dunbar, Guillian Dunbar, Saniyah Jackson, Kamari Jackson, Kameron Jackson, Braylen Jackson, and Great great granddaughter: Aurora Click- Jackson. And a host of nieces, nephews and cherish family members and friends. Sister Williams was a remarkable woman of faith, service, and compassion whose life touched countless people. A devoted member of the Eastern Star, Golden Circle, and Daughter of Isis, she exemplified leadership, dedication, and a commitment to helping others. She was a loyal and hardworking employee of Levi Strauss & Co. for 35 years, earning the respect and admiration of her colleagues through her strong work ethic and unwavering character. While a lifelong member of St. John Missionary Baptist Church, Sister Williams faithfully served in many capacities and was a vital part of the church family. She shared her knowledge and love of God as a Sunday School teacher, lifted hearts through song in the choir, served diligently as a Deaconess, and was honored as a mother of the Church. Her steadfast faith and servant’s heart made her a source of strength, wisdom, and encouragement to all who knew her. Beyond the church walls, Sister Williams was a pillar of the community. She devoted her life to caring for others, extending kindness and support to those in need.

The family will receive friends on Monday July 27, 2026 from 10:30 – 11:00 AM at St. John Baptist Church, Alcoa with funeral service to follow. Interment will follow the service at Sherwood Gardens. www.foothillsfh.com
