Donald Ray Cody, age 64, of Maryville, Tennessee, passed away

peacefully on January 3, 2026, in his beloved hometown. Born in Maryville on February 15, 1961, Donald was the cherished son of [Mary Sweatmon] and [Harvey Cody]. His love for his hometown was instilled from an early age, and he lived his entire life in the place he

always called home. Donald was a man of great character and integrity. He was known for his kindness, generosity, and unwavering commitment to his family and friends. His laughter was infectious, and his spirit was always bright. He

possessed an unmatched zest for life, always finding joy in every moment.

His legacy will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew him. Donald was a dedicated professional who was respected and admired by his colleagues. He was known for his hard work. His career spanned

several decades, and his contributions to his field were numerous. In his spare time, Donald enjoyed a variety of hobbies. He loved the mountains, and spending time with loved ones, Donald made the most of every moment. He was an accomplished individual, always striving to learn

and grow. Donald was a beacon of light in the lives of many. His accomplishments were many, but he was most proud of the life he built, the friendships he

cultivated, and the love he shared with those around him. While we mourn the loss of Donald, we take solace in knowing that his spirit will continue to live on in those who were fortunate enough to know him. He is survived by his wife Laurie Ann Cody, Daughter Jessica (Dakota) Heutt, Stepsons Mitchell Cook, Michael (Stephanie)Cook, Gregory Larue Cook, Mother Mary Sweatmon, Brothers Larry (Mary) Dunlap, Danny (Deloros) Cody, Becky Lawson, Theresa Frase loving

family and friends who will forever cherish his memory. In honor of Donald's life, a service will be held at [Foothills Funeral Home 1/14/2026 From 5-7 PM]. We invite all who knew and loved Donald to join

us in remembering and celebrating his extraordinary life. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made to Foothills

Memorial Funeral Home in Donald's name. While we are heartbroken by the loss of Donald, we find comfort in the memories we shared with him. He was a wonderful man who touched the

lives of many, and he will be dearly missed. Please join us in remembering Donald, a beloved Husband, Father, Son and friend, and Brother. His spirit will forever remain in our hearts. We will

miss his laughter, his wisdom, his kindness, and most importantly, his love. Rest in peace, Donald Ray Cody. Your memory will forever be a guiding light in our lives.
