Cedric Dewayne Baker was born in Blount County. He entered into his eternal rest November 24, 2022,

  at his residence.

Over the years Cedric devoted his time to family and friends who all knew him, knew him as a good,

loving, and caring person. He was a good father, brother, uncle, and friend. Cedric worked at the

McGhee Tyson Air National Guard Army Base for many years then he started working in restaurants for

many years. He worked until his health wouldn’t let him work anymore. Cedric has endured a lot in the

past year. No matter how he was feeling he kept a smile on his face. One thing I will remember about

my brother, he would call me the “Wardant.”

He was preceded in death by Anna (George) Smith, Willie P. Baker (Geech), Billie and Linda Smith,

Elizabeth Rodgers. He leaves to cherish his memories: parents Greta (Rodney) McGhee, Ken (Robin)

DeHart, children Davon and Jasmine Biggs, Micah Griffin, sisters Latisha McGhee and Leondra Walker,

brothers Charles (Janetta) Smith, William (Bethany) Smith, Steven Smith, a host of nieces, special niece

Achiya McGhee, cousins and friends, special friend Jama and Maya Carver.

The family will receive friends at Foothills Funeral Home, Maryville from 2:30 – 3:00 p.m. Saturday

December 3, 2022, with memorial service to follow. Final arrangements entrusted to Foothills Funeral

  Home. www.foothillsfh.com
