Anthony Carr

Anthony (Tony) D Carr, 68, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family after a year long battle of cancer on July 26, 2025. Anthony better known as Tony aka “Macaroni, and The Governor.” Tony graduated from Alcoa High School class of 1974.

Tony was born and raised as a member of St. John Missionary Baptist church where he served on the Usher board and he was also one of many of the Carr men that help lay the brick to the current church. Everyone in the community knew who to call if they needed some brick work done and he was always there to help as much as he could until he was no longer able. He also worked at MHJ Quality Cleaning Service, Ruby Tuesday and Amazon right before he fell ill.

Anthony was the baby boy of the late Jack and Odessa Carr, grandparents, Andy and Pearl Carr, Nephew Antonio Carr and Great Niece Nikita Nunez preceding his death.

Tony leaves to cherish his one and only loving daughter Whitney Williams better known to him as “Punkin” , grandchild Nevyn and Niyah Williams. Siblings, Gwendolyn Minor (Hampton, Va) Willard Carr (Maryville, Tn) Jacqueline Corpening (Knoxville, Tn) and Vanessa Carr (Maryville, Tn) Aunts, several nieces, Nephews and Cousins.
